About Kiwitech
Kiwitech is a New Zealand brand, developing and manufacturing original, specialised equipment for grass farmers since 1977. Harry Wier, co-founder alongside wife Chloe, has been researching and practising rotational grazing for a lifetime, after he found stock constantly breaking his plastic and wooden posts he developed a range of products which provide flexible permanent and temporary electric fencing.
The Kiwitech fencing and water equipment was initially designed to be used with mobs of bulls in their intensive grazing systems (TechnoGrazing) at the Weir’s farm in Bulls, NZ. Being quick, simple and tough were absolute essential qualities and are at the core of all Kiwitech equipment. Kiwitech’s range has 3 key sections : Permanent/Semi Permanent Electric Fencing, Temporary Electric Fencing and Mobile Water Systems.
Still farming to this day, Bulls is also home to Kiwitech International and the Kiwitech factory where the Weirs and their team manufacture and ship their products to distributors and customers worldwide!
About TechnoGrazing
In 1987, Harry and Chloe Weir introduced TechnoGrazing™, a pioneering system in sustainable intensive rotational grazing. Designed to create significant improvements in efficiency, sustainability, and profitability, TechnoGrazing™ combines intensive subdivision of grazing areas with cost-effective and efficient materials and practices.
Utilising Kiwitech equipment, this system allows farmers to effectively rotate livestock across various grazing cells, which helps prevent overgrazing and reduces soil erosion. Essential to this process is the strategic management of pastures and timely relocation of fences and water supplies.
TechnoGrazing™ enhances pasture utilisation, thereby increasing animal productivity and reducing feed wastage. This results in higher profit margins for farmers. More efficient and sustainable than traditional grazing methods, TechnoGrazing™ also helps in minimizing soil erosion by managing the movement of livestock systematically. Overall, this innovative system offers substantial benefits to both farmers and the environment, embodying a shift towards more sustainable agricultural practices.

TECHNOGRAZING, MOB, ROTATIONAL, CELL & MORE
There are lots of Names & Techniques but all have the same Key Principles:
1, Move livestock regularly to avoid overgrazing
2. Provide plants with suitable rest period between grazing events to replenish root reserves.
