About the Micro Trough:
Portable trough designed for cattle. Extremely tough and versatile, easy to shift to next paddock, and low volume minimises wasted water when moving. Fitted with a high flow valve, one MicroTrough can service a herd of 50 adult cattle with sufficient flow rate, as a guide 10 cows with calves require 2.5l/min.
The long ground spike will stop trough being moved, tipped or leaking on slopes, this can be shortened for use on shallow soil.
Comes ready to use with float, valve and fitting for 25mm pipe only. If you wish to use another pipe size you will need to source your own adapter. Recommended operating pressure - 1-5BAR
About the Chain Kit

Includes:
2 x Micro Troughs with ground stakes.

Optional extra:
Kiwitech 8m Trough Pipe (25mm LDPE pipe)
Please note:
Kiwitech Troughs and Hydrants are not for use with direct mains water supplies. Due to potential risk of backflow there must be an air-gap in the system i.e. ball valve in header tank. For further information please consult your local water authority
Kiwitech cannot guarantee microtrough use with sheep. Some sheep (particularly timid breeds ) won’t push the microtrough plate down to activate flow. This would be particularly apparent at high pressures.
