Small Grants – Efficiency Scheme: Key Features

• Grant Amounts: Farmers in Wales may be eligible for financial support ranging from £1,000 to £15,000, covering up to 40% of approved capital investment costs (excluding VAT).

• Eligibility Criteria: To apply, farmers must be registered with the Welsh Government and hold a Customer Reference Number (CRN). Eligible applicants must be primary agricultural producers with at least 3 hectares of registered farmland in Wales or demonstrate a minimum of 550 standard labour hours.

• Eligible Investments :The scheme supports the purchase of equipment and infrastructure designed to enhance farm efficiency.

• Application Window: The current funding round runs from 3 March 2025 to 11 April 2025, with an allocated budget of £5 million.

• How to Apply: Applications must be submitted via the Rural Payments Wales (RPW) Online platform. Farmers select the relevant capital items, and the system calculates eligibility scores based on predefined criteria.
